How to clean baby poop!

Monday, September 10, 2012
Alright new moms, this post is for you! Did the title grab your attention?

If you have a newborn at your house, chances are, you have been pooped on once or twice and/or have had baby diaper explosions! Hey, those happen!

I found the best way to clean that baby poop and this is my secret....

Basic H!!!

Yup, we found another use for our amazing cleaner.

I just spray on the Basic H Degreaser formula, let it sit for a while and then wash! (I use Shaklee's natural laundry line too!)

I swear by this method!!!

You can buy your basic h here> http://donahuewellness.myshaklee.com/us/en/category.php?main_cat=HomeCare

Have a great day and I can't wait to hear how this works for you.

ARE DOLLAR STORE CLEANERS A BARGAIN?

Tuesday, August 28, 2012
Whether you just found me today or have been reading this blog for years, you probably guessed that I heart Shaklee!!! One of my favorite things about Shaklee's Get Clean line is that it saves our family hundreds of dollars each year!  (My hubby loves that too, ha!!)

Did you know that they are even less expensive than dollar store cleaners?  Yes...really!!!  It's true!

Amazing, huh?

I use that extra money I am saving on cleaners to buy my kids the best supplements on the market and feel like it's a WIN WIN for everyone!

If you are asking yourself how do you get a window cleaner for a penny, it's by making your own with Basic H!!  I LOVE Basic H and have been using it for 13 years!

Here is why...

You can clean so many things with Basic H, it's kinda crazy!!

Here are some more comparables for ya...

If you haven't taken the plunge and ordered your own today, order yours now.  Then let me know how you like them here.

What is your favorite thing about Get Clean?

Pressure Washing your House Naturally with Basic H

Sunday, July 1, 2012

2011 06 26_5893

Well, it was that time of year again, the time where we need to pressure wash our house again.  We usually do it once or twice a year.  Since we live kind of close to several ponds, we get a LOT of bugs!  It makes our house look like a haunted house a year, lol!

I wanted to share this post with you because several people have asked me what I use to wash my house.  You will probably not be surprise that I use Basic H for this.

I upgraded to the large bottle this time since we have been gardening and for the fact that we go through this stuff more than most people.  I even bathe my kids in it.  Oh yes,  now you think I am totally crazy!  Don’t you?  Well,  I wasn’t even go to tell you that but I started telling some friends and they loved that idea and was so glad that I told them.  Ha, I was embarrassed by that and yet, it makes sense.  It is organic (so it won’t harm us),  it cleans my kiddos (I do use it too) and it cleans the bath at the same time.  I have NEVER had to clean soap scum in my bath!!!  NEVER!!!!  Which is nice because I don’t have time to do that anyway and then I don’t have to worry about chemicals left around the tub and then the kids soaking in them.

Anyway, back to this post.  This is what I used…

I also used our pressure washer that we got on clearance last fall for $100.  If you are looking to get one, hopefully clearance will start soon!!

This is what our house looked like before…I told you it was nasty!

2011 06 26_5846

We (I mean my husband, lol) just put some Basic H in the pressure washer and got to work.  It took of ALL the disgusting stuck on bug poop too and that stuff is was caked on and is usually hard to remove!

Here is another before.

Yup,
I am a happy girl!  Now I just need that rose bush to come back
to life, lol!

2011 05 08_4460

So, that’s how we wash our house chemical free!  Oh, we also saved a whole lot of money by doing this ourselves and by using Basic H.

Do you wash the outside of your home?

How often?

Do you hire someone?

Do you need to clean your outside again?

Are you looking like the haunted house of your neighborhood?

Do the bugs like your house or stay away?

Have a great day! :)

How to Kill of Ants (and other bugs) Naturally

Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a great weekend! :) We had a great time with our family

We got rid of some ants!

First, we moved and vacuumed everything!!

2011 06 04_5576
I had them help because they helped make the mess!  hehe

2011 06 04_5577
Then I washed the carpet with Basic H and G!

2011 06 04_5578
I also did more research about killing ants naturally and I found this from another Shaklee Distributor.

Fill a pint spray bottle with 1/3 Basic H and 2/3 water while mixing gently. Follow the trail of ants and spray a thin stream where they are entering. Also, spray any other areas where they may enter such as by doors, windows, etc. Do not put on painted surfaces as it will eventually cause bubbling.

I just filled up my tip bottle and went around the edge of my house.

After reading this,  I also decided to add peppermint oil to the mixture.

2011 06 05_5575

I have heard this working for others and I have to admit,  I wasn’t sure if this would work.  BUT IT DID!!!!  Not over night,  but I would say that after the first day they were mostly gone.  By day 4,  I didn’t see any!  I did wash my floor and vacuum again and again too!

How does Organic H Basic H kill the ants when it is toxin-free?

I was wondering that too and I asked someone and they said that since Basic H makes water wetter, the Basic H sticks to them and it actually suffocates the ants/bugs.
It worked for me!  So if you are wanting a natural toxic-free way to get rid of ants, try this! ;)

10 Reasons to LOVE Basic H

Sunday, April 22, 2012
Good day all!! :)

Today is EARHT DAY so I thought I should post about the official "Earth Day" product, Basic H!

Here are the TOP 10 reasons to LOVE BASIC H!!!!!

1. Stop living in a toxic home

Some of the most questionable chemicals used regularly in household products are ammonia, chlorine bleach, phenol, butyl cellosolve, and formaldehyde—all of which can be found under your kitchen sink.  Basic H2 is nontoxic and safe for your family.

2. Everything and the kitchen sink

Basic H2 cleans it all from kitchens and bathrooms to appliances, woodwork, mirrors, painted walls, and floors— it even does windows.  So, toss those single-purpose cleaners like sink and tile cleaners. Mix ¼ teaspoon in 16 oz. of water in a Get Clean spray bottle for all purpose cleaning, and 2 drops in 16 oz. of water to clean windows.

sink

3. Eliminate your ammonia-based window cleaner

Basic H2 cleans windows without streaking while being a great alternative to leading brands. Basic H2 window cleaner is equivalent in performance to Windex Original.

1 bottle of Basic H2equals the cleaning uses of 5,824 bottles of 26 oz. Windex

4. Removes the impossible

From lipstick on a linen napkin to crayons on a painted wall, full-strength Basic H2 comes to the rescue.

5. Great for cutting grease

Tough on greasy barbecue grills, ovens, and even oil spots on concrete. Mix 2 oz. per gallon of water for a superdegreaser formula.

6. Does odd jobs

One tablespoon of Basic H2 in a bucket of hot water lifts off old wallpaper. One and a half teaspoons in a half gallon cleans sticky paintbrushes. Just soak for 24 hours and rinse with hot tap water.

7. Saves money

One 16 oz. bottle of Basic H2 diluted per label directions makes 214 bottles (28 oz.) of ready-to-use all-purpose cleaner.

8. Camping and traveling companion

Take along a small size of Basic H2 to keep clothes, dishes, and everything else clean. And you’ll help by keeping the great outdoors unpolluted.

9. Easy on the planet

Biodegradable and environmentally friendly, Basic H2 handles even hard-to-clean jobs without phosphates, borates, nitrates, or other stuff the planet doesn’t appreciate.

10. Less in the landfill

Basic H2 is superconcentrated, so you’ll use fewer bottles of cleaning products throughout the year.

I know once you try it, you will fall in love like I did and some many others!!!!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!

I recommend starting with:

Get Clean Start Kit (regular or un-scented)
Basic G {Germicide}

Happy Earth Day!
