Tea time

Tuesday, May 4, 2010
In a lovely corner of the garden, something enchanting is about to happen. I can already hear women’s voices ringing in May breezes, there is laugher, and in the dappled sunlight, at a table set with favorite china, delicate confections, and tea sandwiches, affections are renewed.

If you haven’t heard it by now, “The house in the roses” is celebrating Mother’s Day with an outdoor “Victorian Tea Party” in our garden, and we’re inviting you to participate.

What do you need to do? Just bring your favorite teacup and share it with the world!

Send me a photograph of your favorite teacup, and I will link it to your blog on the day of the party, so that visitors and readers can hop from blog to blog and see more. You can prepare a post with pictures of your favorite teacup, or you can show the full collection if you want! Is up to you! Be creative, be ingenious, be you.... but please don't forget to link back to the party! Linking back allows the readers of your blog to find the other participants, thus increasing visits for all who are joining in.

So go ahead, invite your mom, grandma, neighbor, daughters or granddaughters for a virtual afternoon in the garden...

We'll make pink lemonade, pink frosting for a cake, cut up sandwiches into tiny triangles for afternoon tea-sized treats, and fill our tables with blossoms of pink flowers! And we'll just have a blast!
